LAMOT #2 Racing Car Team
Mantelli Trailer Sales sponsors the #2 LAMOT racing car which is driven by Dave Whittaker. The 2009 racing season was Dave's 1st year as a LAMOT driver and he was able to place 3rd in the division and won the 2009 Clark Rice Memorial Rookie-of-the-Year award. Pior to joining the LAMOT racing series Dave raced for 10 years in the Cuplite racing division and did very well as a Cuplite driver, winning the 2005 Cuplite Championship.
The LAMOT Late Model division began as an idea in the fall of 2007 as a way to make weekly racing more affordable and competitive. It was created by a group of current and former drivers, team owners, and tech inspectors with a combined 145 plus years of experience in racing. Over the winter of 2007 a set of rules was put together with the goal of making the division more affordable for teams looking to move up to a Late Model and less expensive to run weekly. LAMOT instituted the use of a longer lasting tire, the low cost 602 crate motor, and pump instead of race fuel. In the Spring of 2008 LAMOT became incorporated as a non-profit entity and began their first season. Nascar sanctioned Holland Speedway agreed to LAMOT running weekly in 2008 with a purse of $200 per car and $125 for last place. In 2009 LAMOT returned to Holland Speedway to compete in the track's 50th year with 13 races scheduled.
Motocross Mini Racing - Sydney Allan
Mantelli Trailer Sales sponsors Sydney Allan who races in the WNYMA District 4 racing series. She is currently 9 years old and races a KTM Pro Senior motocross bike. She has been racing for several years and enjoys it very much. Sydney and her Dad try to go to as many races as they can and sometimes are joined my her mom and brother, who come to cheer her on. She has many goals and looks forward to a 1st place win, to date her best finish has been 3rd. Sydney is a very competitive racer and Mantelli's is very proud to be one of her sponsors. GO Sydney!!
